Online Payment - Commonwealth Bank BPoint Payment

Payment Declined (do not honour) Error Message

​Check all card details entered i.e. verification code, expiry date etc

Insufficient Funds Error Message

​Your bank has reported that the account has insufficient funds to process the payment.

Expired Card Error Message

​Check the expiry month and year entered.

Invalid Credit Card Number Error Message

Check the card number entered and that you have entered the correct payment option.

Payment won't go to Payment Gateway User Problem

​This error may have occurred due to strong antivirus software that blocks cookies.  In order for payment to proceed to the Commonwealth Bank Payment Gateway, please enable cookies then try making payment again if you are certain your payment has not been processed.  Alternatively try making payment using your mobile device such as; Tablet or Smart Phone.

Debt was already paid within last 10 minutes Error Message

​Error message will occur, when trying to make another payment within 10 minutes since the last payment.  If you are trying to make a 2nd payment, wait 10 minutes and try again.

Online Payment - Error when entering a payment reference number

Ticket number not in the system yet Error Message

​The ticket has not been updated in Council's database.  Infringements can take up to 48 hours to enter in Councils system.  Please wait 24 hours before trying again or contact Council for assistance.

The amount is not a valid monetary value Error Message

​Check the number entered make sure you have not used spaces, illegal characters, letters or dashes (*, $, -).  For example INCORRECT $3,489.10 CORRECT 3489.10 

Not found the number supplied does not correspond to Council's records Error Message

​Check the number entered make sure you have not used spaces, illegal characters, letters or dashes (*, #, -).  For example INCORRECT 11223-3 CORRECT 112233.  Alternatively you can or contact Council on (07) 4970 0700 to verify the number

Online Payment - Other Payment Errors

This payment already exists in your browser session Error Message

​Go to Payment Checkout tab located at the top left hand side of the online services webpage. This will take you to your payment list.

This request has already been paid for and submitted (usually due to a previous attempt) therefore it cannot be processed again Error Message

​A payment for this online reference has been processed recently.  Please contact Council  to ensure the payment has been processed.

The payment details entered have resulted in a system receipting error and payment cannot continue, please contact council for assistance Error Message

​Your internet service may have dropped out or you have closed out of the BPoint payment page before the payment processed contact Council on (07) 4970 0700 for assistance.

The request to the payment server has timed out. Please try again later Error Message

​Your internet service may have dropped out or could be experiencing outages. Check your internet provider for any known outages. To clarify that your payment was not successful contact Council on (07) 4970 0700 and provide payment details.

Online Payment - Registering and Sign In

Invalid Username or password Error Message

​Tried to logon before Council has processed your application to become a registered user.  Council requires time to process each application.  This is because we link the applicants' details to our secure system that provides customers personal information.  A number of checks are undertaken by Council before customers can become registered users.  Customers are notified by email once the registration has been processed.

Change my registered user details Error Message

​To change your details such as Change of Address or email address. Please complete the Online Change of address form (Download). To change your name you are required to email details to Council info@gladstone.qld.gov.au and provide a copy of your marriage certificate or change of name certificate. 

Forgotten my password User Problem

​Go to the Sign in page and select "Forgotten your password" in red font, located at the bottom left hand side of the page. You will be sent an email with a new password.  Go to the Sign In Page and sign in with the new password.  You will be prompted to choose a new password.

Session Expired

Account Disabled Error Message

​Due to the number of failed login attempts exceeding 6, Council have taken the precautionary measure of disabling the account contact Council on (07) 4970 0700 to arrange account to become active again then reset password.

Editing an existing payment How To

​If you have timed out or left a page and were in the process of undertaking Council business go to the relevant tab across the top of the page, select the edit function in the drop down list.  This will take you to the edit page where you can continue your business.

Time Expired Error Message

​Councils Online services portal will timeout after a set period of time with no use.  A red "session expired" error message will be displayed.  Follow the prompt to select the home button and the screen will return to the home page.  If you have timed out or left a page and were in the process of undertaking Council business go to the relevant tab accross the of the page and select edit.
